Schoolgarden
The Schoolgarden project is implemented by the Regional Competence Centre Foundation under the Erasmus+ Action 2 Strategic Partnerships for Vocational Education and Training programme
The Schoolgarden project will be implemented with the financial support of the European Commission.
The main objective of the project is to provide access to practical solutions for using planetary diets in gastronomy.
The main goal will be achieved when we achieve the following specific goals:
– acquiring knowledge through the prepared diagnosis and corresponding training related to the use of products and plants from school gardens in planetary cuisine dishes,
– learning about the requirements and solutions of planetary cuisine in gastronomy,
– learning about the methods and forms of establishing and running school gardens,
– exchanging experiences and transferring knowledge in the field of plant diet in Polish, Latvian and Lithuanian realities at the school level,
– developing new approaches to improve teachers’ competences and equipping them with new competences and skills related to dietary cuisine based on the planetary diet,
– supporting the professional development of teaching, scientific and business staff (we learn from each other)
– increasing the possibilities, attractiveness and international dimension of organizations participating in the project work.
Project results and outcomes:
- Creation of a report that is a collection of three analyses (PL, LT, LV) containing research, diagnosis and comparative analysis in the catering industry, taking into account practices related to the use of planetary diets resulting from climate change.
- Implementation of training and implementation of its effects into school practice in the field of the use of planetary diet dishes and products made from organic products in school greenhouses and fruit and vegetable gardens.
– preparation of a pilot training program,
– implementation the pilot course,
– implementation and implementation of the course effects into the school program and practice in companies.
3. Preparation of a guide that includes the results of training implementation, results of testing training effects, recipes for dishes made from products from school herbariums and fruit and vegetable gardens, recommendations for teachers and practitioners.
